Burns in children and relation with some variables in Al Diwaniya city

Abstract

Afield study aimed to identify the burns in children and relation with some variables such as Age , sex , order of child in the family , education level of motherThe sample of the study involved (50) case of burn from Al-Diwaniya educational hospital for the period 1 / 6 / 2008 – 30 / 11 / 2008 Data were collected by special questionnaire designed for purpose of the study and analyzed by using frequency distribution and relative frequency. The result of the study revealed that 34% of children were Toddlers, male more than female (54%) , (58%) of children were intermediate order in family. 50% of mothers were illiterate 70% of burns were fires, 50% the degree of burn of 20% , 48% of mothers were removed the clothes of burn child and put ointment. The study recommends about follow the toddlers children and health education of mothers about true first aids of burns.
