Study of some physiological parameters in renal failure patients

Renal failure refers to a condition where the kidneys lose their normal functionality. Dialysis is one of the most common strategy of renal replacement therapy . The aims of the study is to study of some physiological paramerters in patients with renal failure before and after dialysis and compared the results with healthy people. ( 134 ) patients were taken for this study, 94 patients undergoing hemodialysis, 52 males and 42 females,40 patients undergoing peritonial dialysis,24 males and 16 females .The subjects of control group were 57 individuals 29 males and 28 females.The present results showed that there is significant increase (P < 0.01) in urea , creatinine and aldosterone in males,female hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients compared to control .While there were significant decrease (P < 0.01) in total protein ,calcium , erythropoietin and phagocytic activity compared to control but there was no significant difference between before and after dialysis.
